De American Sunday Cruisers zijn opgericht in 1997. Een groepje Amerikaan liefhebbers in het noorden van Nederland hadden het idee om in Groningen een evenement op te zetten wat elk jaar 6 keer terug zou keren. Bij de Ikea en McDonald's rock and roll in Groningen werd dit opgezet. Eerste opkomst 30 Amerikaanse bolides. In de loop der jaren groeide dit uit naar opkomsten tot 400 voertuigen. Vanaf 2005 worden er in Groningen officieel geen meetings meer georganiseerd. De meetings worden heden onder de noemer "Old Style Cruise Inn" georganiseerd in Foxwolde.

The American Sunday Cruisers started in 1997. A small group of American car fanatics in the north of the Netherlands had the idea to start meetings in Groningen. An event to take place 6 times every year. These events took place near the Ikea and McDonald's Rock 'n Roll in Groningen. The first event counted 30 American cars and in the up-following years this mounted up till 400 cars. Since 2005 there were no official meetings in Groningen anymore . From that day on they are organised in Foxwolde (Roden, also in the north of the Netherlands) by the name "Old Style Cruise Inn" once a year, every year.
